Hi, I’m Mark Eric. Together with my talented wife, Heather, we own Mark Eric Photography. I spend most weekends documenting love stories around the South (and sometimes around the world). On weekdays, I’m usually in the office with my best friend who has the habit of coming to work in her PJ’s. Good thing I’m married to her! As wedding photographers, we believe that no two couples are the same and that our images should tell the story of their unique days to the fullest. Chances are that we are smiling most of the wedding day along side you because honestly we love love stories! Each one as unique and perfect as the next.
Together, Heather and I have one daughter who keeps our home full of life, love and laughter. Our greatest desire is for each of our couples to enjoy a marriage and family like ours - never short on laughter.

Over our careers we have been honored to have our work featured in both online and print publications along with television. However the accolades closest to our hearts are the ones we receive from our clients and peers. We have had the privilege of photographing weddings in incredible destinations from Paris to Puerto Rico and we love to travel, but there is just something about New Orleans weddings that tugs at our heart the most.
Our style tends to resonate with couples who love to be playful, romantic, natural and a lil sexy ! We want to create bold, beautiful images that are genuine and passionate. Because we believe that love is beautiful, love is colorful and love is even contagious.

I have a traveler's heart. I have a love of writing with light and shadows, otherwise known as photography. My personal projects take me to breathtaking landscapes. My happy place is Yosemite, I love to wake up before sunrise in order to be in position for that first morning light as it peeks over the horizon. There is something magical about the play of the light and shadows. By nature I am an observer. I love watching, anticipating and capturing those perfect moments that happen organically. Other times, I am a creator who loves directing images that complete the story I tell through my camera. Balancing capture with creation has formed my style.

Chances are if you are looking for me I am in my pj’s. Unless it is fall then I am in the car with the windows down with the xm radio blasting, just driving so I can feel the cool breeze and smell the crisp air. I love photography but mom duty comes first so I limit the amount of weddings I take on. Editing is a happy place for me so most days you will find me in my pjs wrapped up in a blanket at my desk doing my thing. I am a take charge make things happen sort of chic and am never at a lose for words, trust me I can go on and on.
Dream destination would be Greece, (only when its not hot), but will gladly settle for Disney with the family snuggled up in a blanket, sipping hot chocolate while watching the fireworks. My greatest accomplishment is my daughter, I live to hear her laugh and her stories are my favorite.
